Commander Notes

Another fiscal year has come and gone. Last year the post dedicated the Corvallis Veteran’s Memorial. We still have some work to do, but it is a great addition to our community. With the start of the 2008 – 2009 fiscal year, our post has a new schedule of post activities, new post officers, and a new post membership goal. This year we are going to work on improving the lines of communication within the post. The post’s leadership will strive improve the way that information is disseminated throughout our organization. The best way to keep up on with the post activities is through the post’s web site: www.corvallispost91.com. Frank Mason is the webmaster and he is doing great job. Please visit the post’s site as much as possible.

Volunteers Needed

On Wednesday, August 27th the Ravalli County Fair will begin. The fair booth is one of our major fundraisers during the year. I will have the fair booth work schedule at the upcoming potluck picnic; please sign up for a shift and help the post in this fundraiser. If you cannot make the picnic, you can call me at 546-4244 and sign up.

It doesn’t matter if it is the fair booth, pancake breakfast, the honor guard, or the flags on Main Street your organization needs you. If there is something specific that you want to do, please call Dick Sublette (2nd Vice Commander) and he’ll get you started.
